About Me

Hi I’m Chris, below is one of my favorite photos of all time. It survived Hurricane Katrina!

Hello? I am a professor at the University of Georgia School of Social Work. Why am I doing this? Well, I am not a professional artist, nor do I have any inclination that I will be. I have this site because I’ve painted for a long time and this is a decent way to document and organize for myself what I have made in the past 2 decades. That’s it!

Well, if we are being honest with each other, I may also be engaging in a bit of a midlife crisis thing by doing this. But who cares! I hope your midlife crisis is a good one and no one judges you for it.

As this is a “About Me” page I’ll try to say some other things about my life. Umm. I am a father. I research the impact of climate change on mental health. I’m also a mental health professional whose expertise lies in treating severe and persistent mental illness. My favorite band is Pearl Jam.
