focusing some of my paintings on animals has been really helpful for me in my work and research, as well as better understanding myself and how i relate to the world around me. there’s so much more to say, but typing a lot feels self-indulgent. well honestly, painting feels pretty self-indulgent too. this feels like a lose-lose situation…?
